Ingredients
  1. Broccoli – 2 lbs
  2. Potato – 2 large
  3. Paanch foron seeds – 1 table spoon
  4. Whole red chili – 5
  5. Turmeric powder – 1 table spoon
  6. Red chili powder – 1 tea spoon or less
  7. Oil – 2 table spoons
  8. Salt – 3 tea spoons
  9. Mustard Paste – 1 cup
Instructions
  1. Soak a cup of mustard seed in 2 cups of water overnight. Blend this mixture in a blender such a way that it becomes a smooth puree.
  2. Cut broccoli and potato into 1 inch cube small pieces. Heat oil in a pan, add dry red chili, stir, add paanch foron seeds, add potato and turmeric, chili powder and salt. Stir potatoes with all other spices for 2 minutes on high heat. Add mustard paste and a cup of water. Stir it. Add broccoli and stir everything in the pan on high flame till all liquid in the pan dries out. Turn off stove and keep the pan covered for 15 minutes before serving with plain white or brown rice.
